Archer is a critically acclaimed and award winning animated comedy on FX. Originally set in the world of international espionage, season nine takes place in the 1930s on a remote pacific island.
As Lead Motion Graphics Designer on the show, I work in collaboration with the Art Director to interpret any and all motion graphics required in each episode, including the title sequence and end credit design. These are revamped each season to match the style and aesthetic of the Archer’s ever changing theme and direction.
I teamed up with the studio's Character Designer & Illustrator Chi Duong Sato to distill the new season's colourful and exotic aesthetic into the show's most eye catching opening yet.
The title sequence was re-imagined with a brand new typeface, colour palette, backgrounds, and a re-recorded big band theme tune. I also conceived and created the lava logo build at the end. In addition to Motion Graphics, my role included animating the majority of the characters.
